This is another wonderful addition to the Cree and Dawn series! I literally couldn’t put it down. I swear the only time I looked away from the screen as I was reading was when my blind groping for my coffee cup was unsuccessful, so I had to glance over to grab it. Thankfully, that only happened once. WHEW! LOL
Seriously though, it was great. I just love Cree and Dawn, and if you’re familiar with the series, you’ll enjoy it too. If you’re not familiar with the series, you really need to start at the beginning. I promise you won’t be disappointed. But aside from an intriguing and romantic journey into the Scottish Highlands with our favorite historical couple, this is also a bit of a prequel leading into book 2 of Donna’s Sexual Appetites of Unearthly Creatures series, titled The Sexual Appetite of Werewolves.
And what a prequel! It was wonderfully mysterious, and I can’t wait to dive into the novel and learn more about Tiernan and Clan MacMadadh. Which I’ll be doing in about 0.25 seconds.. WHEE! LOL 😁
Step into the modern day Scottish Highlands with a werewolf that definitely whets the appetite, and the woman he can’t live without
It’s a good book and I enjoyed reading it quite a bit. I especially loved the little nod to one of my absolute favorite historical couples, but. . . I have to admit I was hoping for a little more to the story itself.
The lead up to this book, Cree and Dawn and the Wolf was great, and it seriously hyped me up for the Tiernan’s story. But due to it being a novella rather than a full length novel, you don’t get as much story, or as much out of a story as you do with a full length novel. So that’s kind of a bummer.
Otherwise it was a good, but quick read that I enjoyed well enough that’s it will definitely make it’s way onto my reread shelf.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
HAPPY READING!!

Mysterious, Deceptive, Heart Pounding
An explosive unbelievable story that had my heart racing, my gut wrenching, my teeth clinching all the way up to the terrifying ending.
After reading this thrilling story I had to ask myself, “Can there really be werewolves?
It really was a captivating story that brought Cree and Dawn into much danger and showed how their connection to each other brought this wonderful series to a very rewarding ending.
This entire series has been excellent and I for one hated to see it end.
Thanks for the great review, Cherie, and so glad you enjoyed it! But just to let you know, the Cree & Dawn series isn’t near to ending. There will be more Cree & Dawn adventures.

Sexual Appetites of Werewolves review
Mystery, Choices, Outrageous Romance:
This book is so far out of my wheelhouse, but oh my goodness so much fun to read.
A short story with two very intriguing characters that took me on a journey filled with sizzling desire and many shocking situations that kept me glued to the pages
Olivia is a wolf expert researching wolves. She is off to the famous wolf preserves in Scotland that has existed for many, many years.
Meeting with Laird Tiernan is quite an honor and the sizzling attraction between the two sets the pages to smoldering right from the start.
This was really quite unexpectedly interesting to read, and I truly enjoyed all of the thrills, chills, and a happy ever after ending.

Will Cree & Dawn and a Werewolf come out in print? Due to my propensity to reread your books serveral times, I really like a book😊
Right now I’m trying to decide if I should put them both together in print since they are connected. If I do, it probably won’t be until after the new year.

This is a page turner from the very first page. Cree and Dawn books are alway a joy to read. I’ve driven it fog so thick you couldn’t see anything at all. Donna write so well you feel like you’re right there with them. The dynamics between those two is LOL reading. Cree getting all Caveman and Dawn just smiles. You can see the steam coming out of Cree and Dawn just politely smiling. What nice is the Dawn knows when he’s truly warning her and she does as he asks most times. The way Tiernan give just enough information to Cree to let him know he’s on the right track. Yet as they ride away they are thinking did I just leave a Pack/Clan of werewolves? Tiernan has his own short story now and tells Olivia about meeting Cree and Dawn. The ending of the book was a wow didn’t see that coming plot within a plot. This book is a fun fast read and I highly recommend it.
I went with your comment about both books coming out together. Of course I read Cree and Dawn first. Absolutely love it. I’m not much of a reader of vampires and werewolves. I done loaded the book. It got my attention on the first few pages. Couldn’t set it down till the end. Just thought I’d let you know how much I liked your werewolves series. Awesome. Can’t wait for the next story
Shifters…Yes Please!!!
The introduction of the main character came from the Cree & Dawn short story (Cree & Dawn and the Wolf). I am absolutely a fan of shape shifter stories and if one of my favorite authors is dabbling in these storylines, I am here for it! I can see this being a longer story too.
I just have 2 grievances with this story: 1) the title and 2) the premise and introduction of that reason for why our female lead crossed paths with our male lead
So, at the risk of seeming to be too straightlaced, why couldn’t this have just been titled “The Appetites of Werewolves?” I know we would get the spicy elements inside the story, and I just didn’t like how “cheap” it made the book sound (again, maybe its church trauma rearing its ugly head). Donna has always had strong titles, and I wanted this to sound spicy, not tawdry.
For the last point, I went back to try and figure out the connection Olivia had with the publishing company which would have gotten her to go to Scotland to write a story that sounds so below her scientific research/degree focused profession. It just wasn’t clearly put out there so I would have like for that to not even be part of the story line but to have kept the focus on Olivia’s desire to get a job at the Preserve while in the middle of another research project. That would have kept a huge element of the library research and the books she found on werewolves very relevant. It also would have fit the secondary bombshell of why she was “extra” necessary to the Preserve.
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this book and can only hope that more shape shifter reads are in our near future!!!

Whenever Donna writes about Cree and Dawn, I always look forward to it. Their story is always a fun mix of adventure, drama, romance, lighthearted banter, and a touch of mystery. Cree & Dawn and the Wolf is no exception. She incorporated a slight supernatural element, much like in the Highland Myths Series. She leaves subtle clues within the story that keep readers guessing right up until the very end.
Cree was a refreshing change in this book. In previous stories, he’s always been confident, one step ahead of everyone. This time, his uncertainty about Dawn’s safety and the people around them shows a different side of him. He wasn’t sure what to do or how to move forward, and I love this aspect of his character. I love that he knows his limitations. It shows what a great warrior and leader he is.
Being injured for most part of the story, Dawn only had limited scenes. But the few moments she was there, showed how much her character progressed from the timid lass who stole the heart of the infamous Highland warrior, to an equal partner to Cree. She’s quick-thinking, open-minded, logical, and determined but still retains her pure heart.
I like how Lord Tiernan was written. I like the added mystery to his character. At first, you’re not sure about his motives. Is he a friend or foe? Is Clan MacMadadh really a clan of werewolves? You just keep on guessing with each turn. All in all, I loved it. The story keeps you on your toes until the final page.
I’m currently reading Sexual Appetites of Werewolves. And it’s off to a good start! 😉

Cree and Dawn And the wolf, another great page turner, Dawn is hurt while Cree, Dawn and some of his warriors are returning from the King. Due to the great fog and the approaching of wolves Cree gets seperated from his warriors and his stallion gets spooked and Dawn is injured. Cree finds a mysterious castle within the thickening fog and aid for Dawn, however within these walls of Lord Tiernan is alot of secrets and strange happenings all center around wolves. The more the secrets are kept the angrier Cree gets especially since Dawn wants to leave and the thickness of the fog and her weakened state prohibits them. Once Dawn is missing and the Mighty Cree emerges no Fog, no wolves, no man has a chance against his fury!

Sexual appetites of werewolf.
Olivia is given an amazing opportunity even though she doesn’t believe in the topic for which she has to tell the story, sexual appetite of a werewolf really? Her extensive knowledge of wolves and her love of everything wolves would be easy enough to cover, but who believes in werewolves, but she can’t pass down going to the Scotland to Clan MacMadadh preserve.
Laird Tiernan picks Olivia up and already an instant attraction, can she really understand and except all that will happen, is she worth taking a chance, because in the end the safety of the clan must be preserved.
This was truly a fun read, but somewhat difficult for me, because I always love the characters and one part of the story I had to say no, no, no and go back to Cree and Dawn story to confirm and that sadden me.

My “Sexual Appetites of Werewolves Review”
The story was well written despite it being a novella. Donna was able to build it up just right so there was a good mix of mystery, drama, lighthearted banter, and romance.
I like how Tiernan’s life through the years was narrated. It gave the readers a glimpse of what his life was through the centuries of being the leader of Clan MacMadadh. I even like the small mention of Cree and Dawn while he was telling a bit about his life. Makes me wonder if Donna would consider writing about Tiernan’s life in the past in more detail. I would love to get a glimpse of that, if possible.
Olivia was a classic Donna heroine. Strong-willed, smart but has a kind soul. Even in the present day, she stands out as an expert in her field and would find every opportunity to be better.
Overall, this was a short, sweet, and enjoyable read. I’d love to see what happens next for Olivia and Tiernan. It also has me wondering about the other unearthly creatures Donna might have planned for us next.
