Another wonderful story by Donna Fletcher..
this book wraps up the trilogy in a fantastic and somewhat mysterious way. As always with Donna’s historical romances you’ll be taken away to the beautiful, but dangerous Scottish highlands to watch love bloom between two wonderfully written characters.
This particular book was more mysterious than her other books tend to be, and while I did see one of the twists coming, the reason behind the big twist had my eyebrows hitting my hairline.. LOL
But mystery isn’t all this book has going for it. It’s also got a lot of heart, some heat between the sheets, action, and a few dashes of the paranormal.
I would absolutely recommend checking out this trilogy.
A great ending to an amazing trilogy.
The story was well-woven with the previous two books. All the questions that were left hanging from them were completely answered here.
Compared to Donna’s previous series, this trilogy has a different feel to it. But it’s a good different. It means she’s evolving as a writer as well. 🙂 The story had mystery. It had action. It had heart. It had romance. All intricately combined to create a story that can make you blush with sweet promises of love as well as hold your breath with every clash of the sword and slash of the dagger.

The Trilogy has ended and it does not disappoint. Such a Great read, Donna left it all out there, Intrigue, mystery, danger, battles, secrets, lies, deception, promises, traitors. Esme wishes for her husband to die on the battlefield, however her prays are not answered when the bells ring that summons the return of her husband Torrance, Esme notices that although he still leaves a fright within her something about him has changed and her heart starts to thaw towards her husband, something is definitely different, his punishments are not so harsh anymore but he is still demanding. Torrance must find who the traitors are that wish him dead and he has enemies far and wide by his own doing but now those same enemies wishes Esme dead and he must keep her safe without letting anyone know of the Love he has for her. Donna weaves twist and turns that keeps the pages going till the very end a Great finish to a awesome Trilogy. Kudos Donna!!!!
