Eight centuries later, on another All Hallows’ Eve, the past awakens. The Carrick Foundation, built by Lord Cree’s descendants, is hosting its annual charity gala, a night when spirits roam and history bleeds into the present. Among the serving staff is Dawn, a struggling artist with an inexplicable draw to the foundation’s grand estate. And there, amid laughter and glances exchanged, she encounters Cree—a stranger who feels oddly familiar, stirring emotions she can’t explain. Neither of them knows the truth: they were once each other’s heartbeat, their souls intertwined in an unbreakable bond that time has long since buried.
But some souls are too potent to be forgotten.
Enter Old Mary, the ancient seer who has crossed the veil of time. She warns them of what they’ve forgotten—and what’s at stake. Before the first light of November 1st, Cree and Dawn must uncover the love they shared or face an eternity of being lost to each other.
Yet, destiny doesn’t let go so easily. As they’re pulled through memories, both familiar and haunting, they’re met with obstacles meant to keep them apart. Fate’s challenge is clear… they must rekindle what they had or forever bear the sorrow of a love undone by time.
