Warrior King Series Celebration #3

WED TO A HIGHLAND WARRIOR1The last book in the Warrior King series Wed To A Highland Warrior will be available at the end of the month so it’s time to celebrate. And what better way than with a contest. To take a chance to win an autographed set of the whole series, this is what you need to do. Either send me an e-mail or post in the comment box at the bottom of this page who you think the true King is and why.

You have until November 30th to enter. The winner will be announced on December 1st.

I can’t believe the Warrior King series is at an end, though you wouldn’t know it by the way Duncan, Reeve, Bryce and Trey still haunt me. They don’t want to be shelved and forgotten so they’re hounding me about doing short stories. They insist that there is still plenty left to write about them.

Of course it could be that they’re jealous that I’m spending more time with other Highlanders and a sinful Spaniard who is anything but cooperative.

So I’m playing around with a couple of short stories about them to include in my short story collection. And wouldn’t you know they’re fighting about whose story should be written first. And they insist no preference be made to the King since he’s already gotten enough attention.

Lots more planned for the month so stop by again.

I think it’s Duncan. He showed leadership qualities that you would think the True King would have. He thought about battle before he did it and listened to those around him before forming his opinion. He also went against his enemy to save his love Mercy from her father the false king Kenneth.

I believe Duncan to be the true king. Duncan indicated that the lands belonged to the true king. That would been the keep would be occupied by the true king. Bryce and Trey both had to travel to the keep when occupied.
For the legend to be true Trey cannot be the true king, since both his parents are living and that would make one of them the rightful king.

Please use this as my entry:

Of course, I don’t know much about Trey, but I believe it is between Duncan and Bryce. Duncan demonstrates keen leadership qualities and exudes responsibility (not to take away from his brothers). However, because the true king comes from the Picts, and because of their mother’s reaction to Bryce and his wife, I believe its Bryce. Can’t wait to be sure!!!

I change my mind with every book… I think they all have qualities that could make them very well respected and loved kings….

So that being said, and if I have to choose and speculate… I am going to say Trey because he is the last book…..

only 29 more days to know…. not that I am counting… yes I am 🙂

Oh yes, it’s Trey! Can’t wait to read his story. Thanks Donna for thinking up such a wonder series.
Trey sound sexier than his brothers, so I know this book will be amazing. Battles, romance, family, what more can we ask for. 🙂

I think it is Bryce. There were some very subtle moments within the first two books where I caught the other brothers looking to him almost for leadership and guidance of what they should do, but it was in his book I was pretty much set on it. The first hint to me what how critical of Charlotte Mara was where she had not been anywhere near as critical of Mercy or Tara. She said that Charlotte had to understand Bryce needed a woman that basically accepted his mission as a warrior and how important it was. Why not give Mercy and Tara the same critical once over? Could it be because Charlotte was the possible future queen and need to stand by her king through thick and thin? The CLINCHER however… was that Charlotte’s father claimed to have seen the king before. At the end of the book, Idris looked at Bryce, smiled with tears in his eyes, and he told his daughter she had made “a good choice.” I think Idris somehow DOES know the true king and in that moment (to ME at least) it was revealed that his daughter had chosen to love the king.

It is Definately Bryce. I have just finished reading the 1st book and while I love them all, there were definate clues as to who the King was. 1. When Mercy 1st met Bryce he had his back to her holding up his drinking chalice in a Regal Manner. 2. When their eyes met, she felt a reverance energy.
3. When Mercy was confronted by her Father in the forest before she was shot with an arrow, the false King intimated that he did not wholy believe she was even his true daughter. 4. Her Mother once had a great love affair that broke her heart and we know not with whom? I think that BRYCE is the King and Mercy may be his Half sister! Also the Best part of the 1st book for me that made my heart skip a beat or two was when the 2 brothers and Mercy came to help out Reeve in his battle and he stood victorious in the middle of all the slain soldiers, flicked his long Raven hair back and gave a Feral Grin!!!! Just LOVED IT BIG TIME, I re-read it about 5 times.

I think it is Duncan. To me he just has the demeanor of a king. However, I think all of them have great qualities for a king.

consider this my entry. I think it’s Trey. At first it was very difficult to really tell. However, according to the story the true King is revealed when he is near death or something like that. Trey almost died in the 2nd book. Secondly, the true king comes from pict heritage which is why I think his life is now tied to Bliss’s and maybe that’s why he picks a pict wife.

P.S. I hope there is another series of books, I can get lost in. Feel free to leave suggestions for me.

Suggestion: Maybe a back story on Mercy’s Mother – she seamed like a very complex character!

I will have to say I think it is Bryce. I am so sad that this series is at an end. I have loved each book and getting to know these brothers and their brides has been such a delightful treat. I am praying for the end of OCT to show up so I can finish this series..i dont want to finish it but I want to know who the real king is and I want to get to know the last brother’s story 😉

Thank you for bringing such wonderful stories to life

I believe Duncan is the True King. He is an amazing warrior and leader and Mercy would be easily accepted as the Queen.

I loved loved this series! I was so excited when Trey’s book came out! I read this book in 2 days because I could not put it down. It was so hard not to skip to the end and see who the king was but I waited!!! I will say I never could figure it out. I think I might go back and reread the series now that I know who he is. I hope to read many more books from you as good as these have been!! Thank you!!!
